![]() ![]() Why is this and how can I fix it?ī - Ī free and open music application developed in C# using Windows Presentation Foundation. It seems that it runs the temporary installer file instead of the actual exe file located in the AppData folder. A UAC prompt appears and asks me if I want to run C:\Windows\Installer\22a642d2.msi However, when I try to pin the exe file to either the start menu or the taskbar something goes wrong. It installs fine and runs fine, no UAC prompt needed (yeay!). In my installer (the default installer in VS2010, not ClickOnce) I have used the folder named "User's Application Data Folder" which seem to be C:\Users\\AppData\Roaming So my thought was to move the installation from Program Files into the users AppData folder. I have a self-upgrading application and I want to avoid requiring administrator rights (it's just a music player, it shouldn't prompt a UAC). ![]()
